Which to Buy? by Burke

Today in class this is what we did: If you were going shopping and you were going to buy peanut butter, which should you buy - twenty-four ounces for four dollars, or thirty-six ounces for eight dollars? We decided twenty-four ounces for four dollars because if you got two you could buy forty-eight ounces for the same price as thirty-six! Or, if you bought three of the twenty-four ounce and two of the thirty-six ounce, they would both be seventy-two ounces. But if you got three twenty-four oz. jars, it would cost twelve dollars; and if you got two thirty six oz. jars, it would cost sixteen dollars. Watch what you buy!
