How many pieces can you take?
Our second math unit. Bit's and Pieces, (groups 1 and 2) is a unit in session. This unit is all about rational numbers. No, I don't mean numbers that use common sense, I mean fractions, decimals and percents. This unit has been challenging, and also quite fun. Mr. Buist developed two groups, Bits n Pieces 1 and Bits n Pieces 2. We have been able to experience many different types of problems, such as calculating taxes and tips. We also learned the standard algorithm for multiplying fractions as well as why it works. The unit is still in progress, so I hope that there is more important math to come!
